About the Program
The Skidegate Mental Health Program, part of the Skidegate Health Centre managed by the XaaydaGa Dlaang Society, is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health support to the Skidegate community and surrounding areas of Haida Gwaii. Our program is deeply rooted in Haida culture and traditions, offering culturally sensitive services that address the unique mental health needs of our community members.
Our team of compassionate professionals provides a range of mental health services, including counseling, therapy, and support groups. We prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can share their experiences and receive the support they need. The program also includes various cultural activities and healing practices, recognizing the vital role that cultural connection plays in mental well-being.

We are committed to promoting mental wellness through community-driven initiatives, focusing on prevention, education, and early intervention. By integrating traditional Haida values with modern mental health practices, we aim to enhance the overall well-being of our community members. Whether you are seeking help for yourself or a loved one, the Skidegate Mental Health Program is here to support you on your journey to mental wellness.
